The shelving is sturdy and I can store plenty of canned goods and other grocery items in my basement closet. Assembly was not a snap as they may have indicated. As for the instructions, as of most things from China they suck. They put them on a single 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper with printing and illustrations so small almost have to get a magnifying glass to read them. I am an ex engineer so I didn't have to much problem figuring them out, but I pity the average Joe and Jane with little mechanical amplitude. So spend a penny or two to print it with a little larger font and larger pictures and maybe another sheet of paper. Wish I'd timed my assembly time and taken pictures of each step, sorry.
