Incredible value at the price I paid for the 48" x 24" x 72" shelves. Shelving is very sturdy and well built with heavy gauge wire. My guess is the weight capacity is understated. One thing you may love or hate is that the poles actually come in two sections that are joined by a sturdy double headed bolt/screw. This increases the flexibility of the unit since you could use it as two 36" high sets of shelves but it is possible that the joint is less sturdy than a single 72" pole. I liked the green color which is dark and understated but it isn't chrome or black if that is what you are used to. I ordered a third set of shelves after unpacking the first two I bought.These Alera shelving units far exceeded my expectations. The engineering of these shelves is outstanding and it's design is perfectly executed. The simplicity and ease of assembly is way above any competition. Even the way that the manufacturer arranges the parts in the box for shipping makes them nearly indestructible. The shelving is very strong and stable and has what appears to be a glossy hard powder-coat finish. I have purchased 8 of these units and have not found even one blemish out of them all.Bought this a couple years ago for basement storage. Love the wide shelves. Holds everything I need up off of the floor. Came back today for a second one and the price has gone from fifty four dollars to over three hundred. Nice shelving but that is too much.Came early, great product, color great, easy to assembly ( Have about six various sets of Alera shelving), & added wheels to it.
